On November 11th, 2023, “Stone Soup,” presented by the Desert Biennial Project, will come to life on a dry lake bed just 45 minutes South of Las Vegas. This event is about collaboration and a testament to the power of community. I will be facilitating a talk and experience based around the collaborative album, “New Oddities.”

35.79060°, -115.26038° are the GPS coordinates.

Commencement ceremony at 4:15pm.

  • Dress for the Occasion:

    • Be ready for varying weather. Days may be sunny, so sunscreen is a must. Nights can get chilly, so bring warm clothing and extra blankets.

    • A bandana is handy for dust or wind.

    • Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes suitable for outdoor terrain.

    • Consider a hat for sun protection.

    • Bring a flashlight or headlamp for nighttime navigation.

  • Sustainable Practices:

    • Help us reduce waste:

      • Bring your own reusable mugs for soup and beverages.

      • Consider bringing your own cutlery to reduce single-use products.

      • Don’t forget reusable water bottles to minimize plastic waste.
